摘要: Neuraxial blockade is still largely performed as a blind procedure. Despite of developments in the type needles used and drugs administered, process locating epidural or intra-thecal space limited to identification landmarks by palpation reliance on tactile feedback operator. Ultrasound has provided long needed “eye” procedure already shown promise improving safety efficacy neuraxial blocks. This review focuses understanding sonoanatomy space, performing systematic pre-procedural ultrasound scan, reviewing available evidence.
