摘要: There are many observations which suggest that in the Drosophila genus individuals carrying diverse genetic arrangements their chromosomes display a differential capacity to survive under crowded conditions (Birch, 1955; Lewontin, Spiess, 1958; Ayala, 1970; Budnik et al., 1971; Parsons, 1973). In Chilean endemic species D. pavani, al. (1971, 1972) have demonstrated among flies developed there significantly higher frequencies of heterokaryotypes respect homokaryotypes for inversions found right and left arms fourth chromosome. As is decrease egg-to-adult survival lengthening developmental period these circumstances, it was inferred superiority related better competitive ability. During preadult stages, or populations can experience two aspects competition: (1) exploitation, refers use by competing resources short supply, mainly food space, (2) interference, occurs if resource exploited less efficiently when genotypes compete than only one present. series experiments, Brncic (1974, 1975) viability pavani crowding cannot be attribhited space restrictions only. strong indications deeply affected also biotic waste products growing larvae. view above fact, considered interest study effect accumulation larval metabolic wastes on development different gene chromosome pavani.
