摘要: The world’s forests harbour vast numbers of insects and other species not found anywhere else. Defining forests, in view their great variety structures complexity, describing the major anthropogenic contributions to loss change, constitutes a basis for characterising that variety. That information also contributes assessing consequences human impacts on often highly characteristic insect faunas. This introductory chapter sets out this initial framework, introduces some key themes be discussed more detail later book.
