摘要: This paper presents the theoretical, operational and implementation premises that guide development research agenda of Center Development Research (ZEF), exemplified by three agroforestry-related case studies. First, importance, assumptions, conditions priorities for in context developing countries are reviewed. Second, core ZEF’s approach, (1) transdisciplinary to carry out on real-life problems, (2) symmetrical partnerships with local stakeholders sustain ground activities ensure implementation, (3) capacity warrant future competences, exposed. Third, these mirrored case-studies: slash-and-burn agriculture Brazilian Amazon, socio-ecological management coffee-agroforests Ethiopia, afforestation multipurpose tree species Uzbekistan. The concludes streamlining theoretical practical exposed presented case-studies, confirming how have guided ZEF planning, continuation programs. Although approach is dynamic continuously subject assessment, its remains guiding even after two decades appearing be a suitable pathway reaching objectives.
