摘要: There has been a rapid growth in research and innovation of bio-based adhesives the engineered wood product industry. This article reviews recent published over last few decades on synthesis bio-adhesives derived from such renewable resources as lignin, starch, plant proteins. The chemical structure these biopolymers is described discussed to highlight active functional groups that are used bio-adhesives. potentials drawbacks each biomass then detail; some methods have suggested modify their structures improve properties including water resistance bonding strength for ultimate application adhesives. Moreover, this includes discussion techniques commonly evaluating petroleum-based terms mechanical penetration behavior, which expected be more widely applied better evaluate prospect composites application.
