摘要: Abstract In the present work, corrosion properties of Mg-xSn (x = 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 wt.%) alloys have been investigated. Poten-tiodynamic polarization immersion tests were carried out in 3.5% NaCl solution pH 7.2 at room temperature to measure thecorrosion alloys. With increase Sn contents, volume fraction theMg 2 phase was increased. The rate increased up wt.%Sn decreased above wt.%Sn.Initiation galvanic site during mainly occurred Mg/Mg interface propagation went into α-Mg. For this rea-son, (added from 1 alloys) are because wasincreased with increasing addition. Mg-9wt.%Sn alloy, however, changed toα-Mg/M Sng lamellar structure. Preferentially α-Mg/M structure impeded cor-rosion α-Mg.Key words: Permanent mold casting, Mg-Sn Corrosion properties.(Received October 27, 2011 ; Accepted December 14, 2011)
