摘要: Objective: This study was aimed at determining the suitability of rabbits for assessment alveolar bone healing following tooth extraction. Methods: Six (6) adult female New Zealand were used this study. They acclimatized under standard laboratory conditions two weeks before commencement Tooth extraction carried out in all and followed by histologic osteocyte count week 2 4 post-extraction. Results: All tolerated procedure no complication recorded. Histo-architecture characterized marked osteoblastic activity post increased presence extraction. Average value (cells/µm2) 20 ± 4.58 32.33 2.08 extraction. Conclusion: The result obtained from shows that rabbit could well serve as an experimental animal
