Reaction between ozone and allene in the gas phase

摘要: The kinetics of the reaction between ozone and allene (A) were studied in range 226 to 325°K gas phase. Initial O3 pressures varied from 0.01 0.7 torr 0.05 6 torr. At higher initial most important product was O2 followed by CO, H2O, CO2, C2H4. Oxygen balances averaging about 110% obtained, which implies that no oxygenated products missed. However, carbon only 50% hydrogen even less, so unidentified hydrocarbons presumably formed. rate law found − d[O3]/dt = k1[O3][A] + k2a[O3]2[A]/[O3]0 where log k1(M−1sec−1) 6.0 ± (5500±1000)/2.30RT k2a(M−1sec−1) 6.9 (6200 800/2.30RT). A mechanism is proposed accounts for observed stoichiometry formed–O3 used. This involves a heterogeneous catalyzed decomposition O3. constant k1 identified with primary addition AO3, this compared those other reactions.
