摘要: Batik is the identity and personality of Indonesian people which developed continuously. Many regions in Indonesia have had declared their cultures through media Batik. In Japanese colonialization era, Semarang used to be very popular as one heritages. Nowadays, however, popularity less compared other kinds exist Indonesia. has a heritage that already went value crystallization, it also unique characteristics within itself. The objectives this research are re-promote prestige heritage, so values can equally well-known; well increase welfare craftsmen. To able achieve those objectives, an empowerment development strategy needs composed. This uses primary data collected by questionnaires interviews 17 craftsmen, FGD in-depth-interview involving 10 key persons. collection sample was conducted purposive sampling method. Key persons consist Academicians, Business people, Goverment, Community batik craftsmen (ABGC). result shows level craftsmen still below 50%. represents low Therefore, involves elements stakeholders (ABGC), determined Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in-depth-interview, supported quantitative evidence obtained Analitical Hierarchy Process (AHP). only implemented if awareness from exists, order fulfill commitment existence sustainability Semarang, along with its local wisdom.
