摘要: Comparative inhalation toxicity studies of aerosols insect repellents N,N-diethylbenzamide (DEB), N,N-diethylphenylacetamide (DEPA), and N,N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide (DEET) were carried out in mice. The respiratory pattern was monitored using a computer program that recognizes the modifications breathing pattern. Exposure to caused dose-dependent decrease normal breath, with an increase airway obstruction. All three "sensilla irritants" showed no significant mammalian sensory irritation. acute LC(50) value for 4-h exposure DEB, DEPA, DEET male mice found be >2.5 g/m(3), 1714 mg/m(3), 1369 respectively. Irreversible depression frequency observed after DEB aerosol at concentration 277 mg/m(3) above, which did not revert back level even stopped. At 156 observed. DEPA up 1292 950 Hence two do cause any harmful effect parameters exposure, showing they are more suitable chemicals used as compared DEB.
