摘要: Abstract Background Recently, it has been revealed that tetragonal lysozyme crystals show a phase transition at 307 K upon heating. The underlying mechanisms of the are still not fully understood. Here we focus on study high-frequency vibrational modes arising from protein and their temperature evolution in vicinity Tph as well detailed crystalline water dynamics near Tph. Methods Raman experiments have performed temperatures 295–323 K including low-frequency fingerprint region, CH- OH-stretching regions analyzed. Results conclusions In spite absence noticeable rearrangements structure, located region found to exhibit features critical Pronounced changes α-helixes Tyr residues exposed surface point important role H-bond transition. Additionally shown an increase distortions tertahedral network above These could play crucial General significance present results shed light crystals.
