摘要: Pinellia ternata (Araceae) is a perennial herb which grows wild in China, Korea, and Japan. It has global tuber about 1 cm diameter below the ground bulbil on underground part of petiole, also multiplies this way. The epidermis removed dried to give crude drug. This drug, called Pan-hsia Chinese Hange Japanese, used approximately 20% all important prescriptions medicine, being prescribed together with other herbal drugs for vomiting, especially treating morning sickness. contains homogentisic acid, its glucoside (Hasegawa et al. 1959), 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde, diglucoside (Suzuki 1969), ephedrine (Oshio 1978; Fig. 1).
