摘要: Abstract Nonlinear seismic responses of a 4-storey and 6-storey composite plate shear wall (C-PSW) are studied. A nonlinear finite element model which includes both material geometric nonlinearities is used for this study. analysis shows that walls, in high region, behave stable ductile manner. It has been observed the boundary members reinforced concrete panel C-PSW carry significant amount not considered design AISC 341-10. The study also axial forces moments columns designed according to capacity concepts good agreement with those analyses. series C-PSWs different geometry analysed evaluate current period formula building codes. code predicts periods generally shorter than obtained from analysis. An improved simple estimating fundamental developed by regression data selected C-PSWs. Finally, two equations determining stud spacing thickness proposed.
