摘要: Several plant parts or organs are often used by insects for aggregation and even as resting areas. We first report the use of fruits legume Mimosa foliolosa pachycarpa a night shelter Megachile (Pseudocentron) botucana Schrottky (Hymenoptera: Megachilidae) in Serra do Cipo, southeastern Brazil. Only single bee was found per fruit, 86 out 1,003 opened. The present findings augmented occurrence phenomenon among bees, which is new to harsh mountaintop environments Brazilian rupestrian fields.
