摘要: Currently, to choose an animal model, some factors are considered depending upon the proposed aim of study. Transections and contusions spinal cord most commonly used methods for modeling SCI. While transection models provide idealized setting studying regeneration across a complete lesion, but transected cords rarely encountered in human In other words, injured maintain tissue continuity area injury. But contusion compression more clinically relevant. These can create graded injuries characterized by hemorrhagic necrosis, ischemia, inflammation, central cavitation. Besides, contribute simulate persistent canal occlusion that is common SCIs.
