摘要: This text provides an accessible framework for understanding science, technology, and medicine (STM) in the West from Renaissance to 21st century. John V. Pickstone's approach has four key features. First, he synthesizes long-term histories philosophies of disciplines that are normally studied separately. Second, dissects STM into specific ways knowing - natural history, analysis, experimentalism with separate but interlinked elements.
