摘要: Biodiversity and conservation data are generally costly to collect, particularly in the marine realm. Hence, collected for a given—often scientific—purpose occasionally contributed towards secondary needs, such as policy implementation or other types of decision-making. However, while quality accessibility biodiversity have improved over past decade, ways which these can be used develop implement relevant management measures actions not always explicit. For this reason, there number scientifically-sound datasets that systematically inform decisions. Transforming into knowledge products convey information required by policy- decision-makers is an important step strengthening exchange across science-policy interface. Here, we identify seven characteristics selection online contribute their ability support decision-making realm (as measured e.g. mentions resolutions/decisions, use reporting under selected instruments; high-level screening areas importance). These include: clear mandate; established networks collaborators; iterative co-design user-friendly interface; standardised, comprehensive documented methods with assurance; consistent capacity succession planning; accessible value-added fit-for-purpose; metrics collated reported. The outcomes review intended to: (a) creators/owners/providers designing curating greater influence, hence impact, decision-making, (b) provide recommendations how decision- policy-makers development, implementation, sustainability robust through framing frameworks.
