摘要: Abstract In this study, horizontal burning, limiting oxygen index (LOI) and direct burning tests were conducted to evaluate the effects of magnesium hydroxide (MH) on flame retardancy for asphalt. The influence MH mechanical properties asphalt mixtures was also evaluated using a Marshall stability test an indirect tensile strength test. results indicate that improves thermal presence reduces classification from FH-3 FH-1, LOI is increased. Reductions in average time mass loss observed. volume flammable volatiles released reduced. By replacing some mineral filler with equal quantities MH, increased, its decreased. Similarly, (ITS) but ITS increased slightly. It concluded can be used as retardant without significantly reducing original pavement performance. This may provide novel safer road material, especially use tunnel roadways.
