摘要: Studies of the development Caenorhabditis elegans male have been carried out with aim understanding basis sexual dimorphism. Postembryonic two C. sexes differs extensively. Development along either hermaphrodite or pathway is specified initially by X to autosome ratio. The regulatory events initiated this ratio include a male-determining paracrine intercellular signal. Expression signal leads different consequences in three regions body: nongonadal soma, somatic parts gonad, and germ line. In activity key Zn-finger transcription factor TRA-1 determines development; its absence, followed. Only few genes directly regulated are currently known, including members evolutionarily conserved, DM domain factors. gonad line, absence not sufficient for full expression pathway. Several additional factors involved identified. sperm that act at level RNA cytoplasm play prominent role.
