摘要: Rufous Bristlebirds (Dasyornis broadbenti), possess song repertoires of between 12 and 30 different song-types, only a proportion which are shared individuals. As result, the comparison songs among individuals is complicated by use multiple song-types. Using both discriminant function analysis (DFA) spectrographic cross-correlation (SPCC), those song-types that were demonstrated high levels vocal individuality. DFA correctly classified an average 98.3 ± 1.2% male songs, whereas SPCC 87.4 2.8% songs. However, common features showed limited value for individual identification. The information provided analyses was then used to discriminate over distance 7.8 km, results supported previous studies with regard sedentary nature Bristlebirds. Although present study show promise, issue comparisons remains significant challenge development acoustic identification systems this species.
