摘要: Abstract In the anterior latissimus dorsi muscle of chicken hypertrophy was obtained by stretching, whether innervated or not. The teres minor muscle, which stretched at same time, also hypertrophied; posterior consisting red and white fibers, did not change significantly in weight, but its position body is such that it adequately. rate certain histological changes accompany keeps pace with hypertrophy. These include enlargement nuclei, nuclear proliferation, invasion subsequent splitting units producing fibers varying diameters. ATPase differentiation weakens when exceeds 35–40%, exhibiting, general, a homochromatic, light response. amount hyperplasia proportional to degree stretch. Excluding an increase caused splitting, fiber counts complete cross sections muscles taken intervals after onset stretch showed steady total number fibers. This began promptly under extensive stretch, much later mild presence new appeared be function both time hypertrophy; had least 70%. lagged behind small interpreted as “new.” fate many known sufficient matured 8 wk experiment produce number.
