摘要: Hybrid mode feeds which are capable of handling very wide bandwidths. In the present feed arrangements, a dominant TE11 is converted to HE11 hybrid then launched. The conversion achieved by inserting circular dielectric rod (12) into flared end (11) smooth-walled cylindrical feedhorn until small section engages with inner wall (15) unflared portion feedhorn. one arrangement, other similarly inserted (21) corrugated (22) short longitudinal concentric corrugations an provide transition for waveguide subsequent launch. second at aperture outward in curved configuration shaped minimize reflections back and predetermined wavefront feed.
