摘要: In the context of a therapeutic opioid epidemic, particularly in USA, where increasingly stringent screening for 'at risk' individuals and close monitoring prescription use is strongly recommended, issue misuse within cancer population must be addressed. Most patients with advanced will have pain requiring therapy at some stage during their disease course. majority, this provide good relief no short- or longer-term adverse sequelae. A subset present substance issues that influence management prescribing practice. The potential ethical limiting effective analgesia on basis addiction risk history acknowledged.
