摘要: Suicide presents a major complication during imprisonment and greatly contributes to the high mortality rate of prisoners. All international studies have found increased suicide rates among prisoners compared general population. This study examines risk factors for in using supranational data from Council Europe Annual Penal Statistics (Statistiques Penales Annuelles du Conseil L'Europe or SPACE) 1997 2008. Macrostructural prison are analyzed this set identified indicators further evaluated on single country level. Sexual offenders, offenders charged with violent crimes sentenced short- long-term considered be at an elevated suicide. In addition, is associated overcrowding.
