摘要: We used transcriptomic (RNA-seq) analyses to determine if patients suffering from all types and subtypes of mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS), a severe inherited metabolic disease, may be more susceptible COVID-19. The expression levels genes encoding proteins potentially involved in SARS-CoV-2 development were estimated MPS cell lines. Four (GTF2F2, RAB18, TMEM97, PDE4DIP) coding for facilitating virus down-regulated, while two (FBN1, MFGE8), the products which interfere with propagation, up-regulated most types. Although narrowing respiratory tract occurrence thick mucus, characteristic MPS, are risk factors COVID-19, suggest that cells might less, rather than more, infection.
