摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter explores the Procedure Learning On Web (PLOW) that demonstrates natural language (NL) is a powerful intuitive tool for end users to build tasks with significant complexity using only single demonstration. The play-by-play demonstration would occur in human–human teaching provides enough information system generalize demonstrated actions. Mixed-initiative interaction also makes task-building process much more convenient and intuitive. Without system's proactive involvement learning, human instructor's job could become very tedious, difficult, complex. Semantic NL description robust by letting it handle dynamic nature of Web. Although PLOW sheds light on NL's roles collaborative problem-solving aspects end-user programming Web, challenges still exist new ones will emerge as application domains are expanded. Better reasoning about tasks, broader coverage understanding, object handling be needed address challenges.
