摘要: The metaphase chromosomes of Anopheles stephensi (Liston 1901) show characteristic and constant Q-, G C-banding patterns. autosomal bands are located in the centromeric regions their amount distribution permit distinguishing two autosome pairs from each other. A striking homology banding is present between sex where only difference due to a telomeric euchromatic segment on X lacking Y. We hypothesize that Y chromosome derived by deletion part an arm former homologous chromosomes.
