摘要: Publisher Summary The Baltic Sea, including its adjoining gulfs, fills a complex depression within the east European platform and southwestern border zone. Precambrian crystalline basement of shield is exposed along major part western, northern, eastern coasts Sea. Only southeastern southern present-day marine area exhibits coastline consisting sedimentary rocks being complex. region represented by various metamorphic igneous referable to Svecokarelian Gothian orogenies. Anorogenic rapakivi, granite intrusions are common in several localities both as supramarine submarine outcrops. They were formed during middle proterozoic postorogenic activities. intense postdepositionary erosion, leading formation subCambrian peneplane, explains rather thin patchy distribution Proterozoic rocks.
