摘要: The social construction of uncertainty plays a major role in environmental decision-making. Methods for assessing this aspect scientific knowledge quality are lacking. Our analysis the French debate on risk that insecticide Gaucho® (active substance: imidacloprid) forms honeybees is particularly relevant to theoretical and practical gap. Based our analysis, we propose six criteria can assist information communicated an argumentative public process: reliability – it must be based all available knowledge; robustness take into account criticism; use produced by other stakeholders; relevancy arguments issue under debate; logical coherence discourse; legitimacy source. Further, findings deepen understanding relationships between social, economic, institutional stakes actors involved their strategies ‘creating uncertainty’. Finally, compare case study with twelve lessons drafted European Environmental Agency (EEA) its report Late from early warnings, draft two more lessons. These applied future policy order minimize repetition past mistakes.
