摘要: A sulfonated polystyrene ethylene butylene (SPSEBS)-poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)-Quaternized (QPSEBS) bipolar membrane (BPM) was prepared by lamination method using PSEBS as the starting material, functionalization of which modified sulfonation and amination while PVA used intermediate layer to enhance water splitting efficiency. The cross section view SPSEBS-PVA-QPSEBS BPM studied SEM. Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR) studies indicated that contained –SO, –NR, –C-N functional groups. thermal stability thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Some characteristics results showed co-ion fluxes greater for t(0.065) when compared with t(0.051) along a capacity value 0.88 BPM. dissociation flux 2.8 × 10−5 mol/m2/s 2.2 acid (H+) base (OH−), respectively. other essential current-voltage permeate across were also evaluated. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
