摘要: Abstract Objective To determine the prognostic significance of “Tympaometric Volume” for paediatric tympanoplasty type I in a select age-group 5–8 years. Methods A prospective study was conducted 30 children with chronic suppurative otitis media-inactive mucosal disease either sex. Pre-operative tympanometric volume recorded all cases and statistically analysed graft uptake results post-operatively. All patients underwent by underlay technique using temporalis fascia graft. An intact at end 6 months, postoperative hearing improvement 10 dB or greater two consecutive frequencies, regarded as surgical audiological success, respectively. The statistical analysis done Mantel Haenszel χ 2 i.e. Chi square test, Fisher exact p value test confirmation. Results We an impressive success rate 87% 70% this study. On basis mean 1.6 cm 3 were divided into groups: Group (tympanometric volume  ), group B volume > 1.6 cm ). 95% 77% & B, However, evaluation data revealed no significant effect factor. Conclusions In correlation between age years observed.
