摘要: The effect of SO 2 on the oxidation C 3 H 8 by Pb-poisoned and Pb-free Pt/Al O catalysts was investigated. Transient injection experiments were performed engine-aged aged in laboratory with PbBr ., In both cases, increased activity for due to exposure is attributed a reversible promotion conversion (independent Pb content) permanent reactivation. Catalyst characterization has shown that reactivation involves formation large PbSO 4 crystals which effectively removes from Pt crystallites. also permanently enhanced regardless presence Pb. this case, mechanism may involve sulfate formed alumina. poisoning CO offsets enhancement removal Thus, net small.
