摘要: The mouse mutant nude is immunologically deficient due to congenital absence of the thymus. It will accept allografts and heterografts from closely remotely related donors. Its humoral immune response a number other antigens also imperfect. De novo malignancies can be induced in by chemical carcinogen. lack cell-mediated could expected accompanied similar defect immunological surveillance mechanism against neoplasia. We have studied 11, 000 mice birth three months age or normal life expectation animal. total observation time within period 1969–1972 was some 40, life. No malignancy observed during this period. This striking discussed relation de cancers following organ transplantation man, high incidence patients with deficiency disorders. suggested that surveillance—if existing—may represent third expression system, separate immunity.
