Experimental and Numerical Investigation on Electromagnetic Absorption and Diffraction by the Plasma-Covered Cavity

摘要: To produce a plasma layer (area of 1.3 m2 and power 1.8 kW) covering the inner surface metal cavity (diameter 45 cm length 120 cm), certain number standard commercial fluorescent lamps were placed directly against one another. Electromagnetic (EM) scattering 1- to 3-GHz EM wave has been studied experimentally theoretically for plasma-covered cavity. When hits at front aspect angle, significant return loss as large 10 dB in frequency 1-2 GHz trends peak 20-30 near 1.25-1.5 observed. Using finite-difference time-domain method, transient scattered fields from cavities achieved. The with covered was proved be result absorption by plasma, but not turning or bending entering plasma.
