摘要: Background:  Human recombinant epidermal growth factor has been shown to be effective in corneal healing when applied topically. The purpose of this preliminary study was observe whether re-epithelization occurred patients with non-healing defects treated a bandage contact lenses impregnated factor. Design:  Prospective non-comparative interventional case series study. Epidermal factor-impregnated (created through passive transfer into hydrogel high water content) were used passively release the surface damaged eye. Participants:  Nine clinical who presented for tertiary care at University British Columbia Eye Care Centre Vancouver General Hospital. Methods:  All had clinically significant delayed that not healed despite standard treatments including conventional and topical medications. Causes varied from injuries (e.g. alkali burns, recurrent erosions) recent surgery (photorefractive keratectomy, phototherapeutic penetrating keratoplasty). Main Outcome Measures:  Closure wounds. Results:  Re-epithelialization seen corneas seven nine within 8 days after insertion factor-treated lens eye. drug delivery system appeared most non-inflamed corneas. Conclusions:  Preliminary results indicate may helpful promoting healing. Efficacy appears reduced vascularized significantly inflamed corneas.
