摘要: Pure YH3−δ and Mg0.1Y0.9H2.9−δ exhibit large differences in their thermochromic properties. Whereas the transmittance of decreases by 9% to 36%, it 64% 83% between 30 °C 160 °C. This effect is caused hydrogen desorption upon temperature increase. The main difference two systems that face-centered-cubic hexagonal-close-packed phase transition YH2+δ absent Mg0.1Y0.9Hx, i.e., YHx stays cubic for all 2⩽x⩽3. Because this, there are no plateaus pressure–composition isotherms Mg0.1Y0.9Hx steepness optical increases drastically compared pure YHx.
