摘要: The aviation sector has suffered a big blow from the series of recent economic depressions. Airlines are struggling to stay in business and looking for multiple ways cut on expenses. This led initiation studies find strategies which will reduce an airline’s overall fuel consumption. One these methods is initiate intermediate refueling stop operations long-haul flights. means that instead flying with fully fueled aircraft e.g., Amsterdam Tokyo, route split into two or more segments flown appropriate amount possibly even different types suitable shorter range flight. By developing novel computer model, this research aims at finding answers following questions: What consumption- emission savings can be attained by implementing model specific routes types? requirements optimally benefit operating flights stops? Which costs directly linked introducing stops, what consequences done costs? How does concept influence airport groundside impact infrastructure? consists independent programs work cohesion optimal stopover operated aircraft. first program capable calculating consumption mission. calculations based fundamentals flight equations motion.
