摘要: This work investigates the growth and detachment of chemically formed micro-bubbles on micro-textured catalyst using a high-speed digital camera simulation results. Three bubble stages were identified for single bubbles grown circular type Pt catalyst. The first stage was inertia-controlled diameter directly proportional to time, pertained when size smaller than catalyst; in second third stages, gas generated at constant rate varied as cube root time. However, stage, is slightly lower suggesting saturation. calculation based mathematical model generation highly consistent with experimental basic phenomenon then adopted comparison phenomena textured structures. Experimental results revealed that discontinuous mesh can effectively shorten time substructures are thoroughly separated larger their initial (~5 μm), while concentric pattern does not. study provides an insight into different textures, which useful design reactors fuel cell systems.
