摘要: Abstract The growing nuclear threat has amplified the need for developing diverse and accurate forensics analysis techniques to strengthen security measures. work presented here is part of a research effort focused on methodology reactor-type discrimination weapons-grade plutonium. To verify developed methodology, natural UO2 fuel samples were irradiated in thermal neutron spectrum at University Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) produced approximately 20 μg plutonium test material. Radiation transport simulations common reactor types that can produce performed, results are here. These needed whether during experimental irradiation MURR was suitable representative types. Also comparisons fission product concentrations obtained from computational nondestructive destructive measurements samples. Gamma spectroscopy radioactive products mostly within 10%, mass total 4%, stable 5%.
