摘要: This study was aimed to investigate the usefulness of (18)F-FDG-PET differentiate vascular inflammation and determine effect rosuvastatin. Eight subjects were recruited divided according their health status in three groups; 3 healthy subjects, patients with hypercholesterolemia 2 stable angina pectoris. Hypercholesterolemic submitted immediately after recruitment rosuvastatin treatment (20 mg/d). Two PET/CT measurements made throughout course study, one at baseline second 12 months later. Our results showed that ratio calcified arteries total analyzed segments 23%, 36% 44% for healthy, hypercholesterolemic respectively. Healthy present, baseline, a high level as measured by (18)F-FDG uptake both non-calcified arteries. increases function cardiovascular risk factors. After 12-month follow-up period, significant increase patients. However, highest noted subjects; (50% increase, p 20 mg/d) are needed confirm this beneficial effect.
