摘要: The mechanisms of grain refinement to submicron scale during warm “abc” deformation were studied in commercial pure titanium and two-phase Ti-64 alloy. Large strains obtained via successive compression sample along three orthogonal directions. Grain occurred due subdivision mechanism because formation induced high angle boundaries created by slip twinning that led strengthening. steady state flow, which was observed at the last stages deformation, accommodation microstructure arisen from change strain path. In alloy straining initial lamellar structure transformed into globular one. Unlike titanium, there flow stress softening superplasticity observed.
