摘要: Genetic variances and correlations lie at the center of quantitative evolutionary theory. They are often difficult to estimate, however, due large samples related individuals that required. I investigated relationship genetic- phenotypic-correlation magnitudes patterns in 41 pairs matrices drawn from literature order determine their degree similarity whether phenotypic parameters could be used place genetic counterparts situations where cannot precisely estimated. The analysis indicates squared were on average much higher than had only broadly similar patterns. These results either biological causes or imprecision genetic-correlation estimates sampling error. When those studies based largest sample sizes (effective size 40 more) included, slightly greater correlation strikingly similar. Thus, dissimilarity between phenotypic- seems imprecise correlations. Phenotypic likely fair many situations. further also indicate environmental variation tend act growth development a manner.
