摘要: AbstractA new converter concept for direct connection to the power line of AC-fed traction vehicles will be introduced. This contains a single phase AC/AC-modular-multilevel-converter (M2LC) and concentrated medium-frequency transformer. A design multi-system operation investigated that can operate on an AC 15 kV/1623 Hz as well 25 kV/50 line.The M2LC, enablingfour quadrant operation, forms core this concept. The basic characteristics Simulations analytical investigations underline attractiveness M2LC converter. versatile stands out due its modularity, superior control good adaptability various drives. Therefore, has potential replace conventional transformer future vehicles.
