摘要: As part of a larger project that aimed to determine the factors regulate fish productivity in clear water river Atlantic rainforest, Sao Paulo State, Brazil, composition and trophic structure community middle course were studied from January 1995 May 1996. Of 17 species collected, Mimagoniates microlepis, Schizolecis guentheri, Phalloceros caudimaculatus Kronichthys heylandi accounted for 83.2% total abundance. Most insectivorous (35.7%), followed by detritivores (21.4%), benthivores (14.2%), omnivores herbivores (7.1%), piscivores (7.1%). Results food overlap analysis as calculated Index Morisita showed 17.5% pairs overlapped. Habitat segregation, however was observed among most species, suggesting some degree partitioning. Despite characteristics this escarpment river, which produces spates year round, no seasonal variation diet observed, although abundance may fluctuate throughout year, items are constant supply. The importance allochthonous considered it appears that, though only few feed on source (including detritivores), they make up 87.2% low fishes, high number endemic strong dependence resources suggest these systems sensitive anthropogenic impacts require future studies.
