Electrophoretic deposition of manganese dioxide films using new dispersing agents

摘要: Electrophoretic deposition (EPD) method has been developed for the fabrication of manganese dioxide (MD) films application in electrochemical supercapacitors (ES). Anionic dyes were used as dispersing agents MD synthesis and EPD. The adsorption pyrogallol red (PGR) aurintricarboxylic acid (ACA) on was attributed to catecholate salicylate type bonding respectively involving chelation Mn atoms particle surface. allowed efficient dispersion, charging deposition. higher charge/mass ratio ACA, compared that PGR, at lower dye concentration voltages. kinetics mechanism discussed. Electrochemical testing results showed prepared by EPD are promising ES. highest specific capacitance 409 F g−1 obtained a scan rate 2 mV s−1.
