摘要: We present an algorithm for the identification of transient noise artifacts (glitches) in cross-correlation searches long O(10s) gravitational-wave transients. The utilizes auto-power each detector as a discriminator between well-behaved Gaussian (possibly including signal) and glitches. test with both Monte Carlo time-shifted data from LIGO S5 science run find that it is effective at removing significant fraction glitches while keeping vast majority (99.6%) data. Using accretion disk instability signal model, we estimate accidentally triggered rate less than 10^-5% by realistic signals, 3% even exceptionally loud signals. conclude safe method cleaning used
