摘要: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence intraspinal pathology presenting as idiopathic scoliosis in children less than 11 years age and otherwise neurologically normal. Twenty-six consecutive patients (5 boys, 21 girls) with measuring at least 15 degrees were studied magnetic resonance imaging. Five (19.2%) diagnosed by imaging have Chiari-I malformations hydromyelia (two patients), syringomelia (one patient), intramedullary tumor patient) terminal lipoma patient). Only two five had left thoracic curves. Intramedullary spinal cord can present without neurologic signs. Scoliosis be initial sign suggesting pathology, is indicated routine evaluation age.
