摘要: The presence of Salmonella and human pathogens in unpasteurized milk remains a public health hazard. study reported the phenotypic molecular characterization serotypes cow raw milk, cheese traditional yoghurt marketed for man’s consumption Nigeria. Isolation was done on Shigella agar by pour plate method at 37°C. Susceptibility to antibiotics determined disc diffusion method. Molecular detection some target genes polymerase chain reaction. All isolates were sensitive ofloxacin nalidixic acid. Resistance varying proportions with amoxicillin (95.2%), tetracycline (90.4%) augumentin (28.5%). Ten (10) different multiple antibiotic resistance patterns observed among serotypes. identified include typhi , typhimurium enteritidis serogroups D (28.6%), B (52.4%), 1 respectively. invA amplified all while fliC fliB absent. rfbJ gene detected only S . Typhimurium. recovery resistant pathogenic samples is great concern. Keywords: serotype, characterization, virulence genes, African Journal Biotechnology Vol 13(37) 3774-3789
