摘要: We review the economics literature on energy efficiency in India, as a guide for further research area. The empirical has focused four questions: How does India compare with other countries? What would be savings (and cost savings) from adopting certain energy-efficient technologies? Why are these technologies being – or not adopted? policies should implemented to encourage their adoption? Most of focuses answers first two questions. Studies needed that quantify factors affecting rate diffusion and rigorously evaluate reforms by Government beginning 1990s, could affect efficiency.
