摘要: Tests of formal models legislative politics have become increasingly common, and tended to draw confident positive inferences about focal theories. This is not a particularly satisfactory development, however, inasmuch as the supposedly supported theories are quite different from one another, tests that generate support tend overwhelmingly focus on theory rather than competing We develop employ method comparative theory-testing using estimates cutpoints final passage results. The findings inconclusive in part because theories, while substantively different, often operationally nearly observationally equivalent.
